NYTs reports that the Hurricane is now slamming the Jersey Shore. The storm is now being called a Cyclone by the National Weather Services since it is no longer being fueled by coastal and Southern currents but is still quite powerful with winds of 85 miles per hour!
The storm should pass the NY/NJ region within the next 3 to 6 hours …. come morning the damage will show–including flooding, damaged trees and transportation system damage.
The NYC subway is especially at risk with possible longer term impact for the millions of commuters that rely on it….
